About the role

At Maestro you’ll have the opportunity to directly participate in the blockchain industry and help revolutionize finance and the global economy!

As a Cardano Stake Pool Operator, you will deploy and maintain the many stake pools that Maestro is running as part of their Initial-Stake-Pool-Offering (ISPO) service. 

You will also build data ingestion pipelines and APIs for tracking the performance and status of ISPO stake pools!

Your contributions

• Work on the front lines of a quickly-growing blockchain startup and lead the design and implementation of Maestro’s Cardano dApp platform.

• Improve the reliability and scalability of the Maestro platform to enable quick and large-scale adoption by users.

• Deploy and manage globally distributed block producers and relays.

• Build automation tools for deploying and registering stake pool nodes. 

• Work closely with all other engineering teams to design and deploy the stake pool deployment platform.

• Innovate to solve new and challenging problems in a high-pace, team-oriented environment.

• Maintain a focus on quality and community to build trust and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Your background and experience

• B.S. or M.S. in computer science or a related technical field or comparable work experience.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience or 2+ years with an advanced degree.

• Experience with running highly available and redundant stake pool nodes.

• Containerization of production software using Docker.

• DevOps software tooling design and development with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.

• Practical knowledge of Unix/Linux internals and shell scripting.

• Experience deploying services on well-known cloud providers such as GCP, AWS and Azure.

• Monitoring, alerting and logging distributed, cloud-based systems.

Nice to haves

• Google Cloud Platform expertise.

• CI/CD deployment tools, such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

• Production automation tools, such as Terraform.

• Kubernetes templating tools, such as Kustomize, Helm and Flux.

• TCP/IP network programming.

• Leadership experience managing teams and projects.

• Blockchain or fintech industry experience.

• You learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies in your free time.

Funding

We have raised money from VCs around the world to help us realize our vision of becoming Cardano’s go-to dApp development and infrastructure platform. We are planning for multiple funding rounds with increasing valuation in the coming months!
