Work Experience
Production Manager (Sep 2019 – Apr 2021)
Tasked with ensuring optimal customer delivery while exceeding operational budget of $6+mil for a large portfolio of clients including Costco, Loblaws & Walmart. Held authority for setting and implementing strategy, developing teams, and driving positive change.
- Designed and executed short and long-term strategies for optimum plant performance across 9 production lines, 5 direct reports and ~120 indirect reports
- Participated as an active member of the HAACP team that delivered a BRC AA rating over 2 consecutive years
- Lead the ramp up/launch of a new product & production line resulting in < 95% conformance, <85% OEE and $300K in yield savings
- Implemented several initiatives that significantly improved staff morale, reduced turnover rate by <50% and drove accountability through coaching & servant leadership approach in a unionized environment
- Drove process/scheduling re-engineering initiatives which enabled the business to take on additional capacity while reducing overhead costs

Operational Lead for a $10milion new product/production line capital project bringing a new product to the Canadian market
- Implemented, communicated and enforced compliance to OSHA/BRC/CFIA regulatory requirements
- Executed on site FAT/SAT inspections working onsite with vendors across Europe to ensure Canadian compliance for food manufacturing
- Ensured that production cadence would optimize volume via scheduling, staffing & training

Supervised 55 operators, team leaders, maintenance and quality assurance personnel in a highly regulated unionized environment
- Recruited, hired and trained employees for new program launch over a 6-month period meeting APQP and PFEMA requirements
- Reviewed and implemented procedures to close over 150 corrective action reports within one year to ensure compliance to corporate policy as well as local laws and regulations
