My name is Scott Ehrlich, I'm 31 years old and I want to commit myself to an organization I truly believe in. I've been in b2b sales for the last 7 years, but have been very passionate about the crypto space since 2018. I live in New Jersey with my wife Natalia and our 2 year old pitbull/lab mix Sammy.
I worked in the Merchant Cash Advance industry from 2014 to 2018 as an account manager, sales team leader, and direct lender. This drove a personal interest in the payments and finance industry. It also allowed me to look at our current banking and financial system from a very critical standpoint, and I began to notice areas where blockchain could be the remedy. In 2018 the crypto spotlight went right to XRP (Ripple). It was pitching itself as a real-time payment settling and remittance system for banks and other payment networks. However, as revolutionary as it sounded, it was mostly speculative.
In 2018 I attempted to find work in the blockchain space, but was unsuccessful. These organizations mostly needed engineers, not interpersonal skills; so at the time there weren't many opportunities for Account Managers or Community Support Engineers to find work in the crypto space. As smart contracts and dApps have continued to develop over the last few years, speculation has turned into adoption. Institutional Investors are seeing more blockchain exposure, and more exchanges are going public. Cryptocurrency is going to restructure the way our world functions for the better, and I want to be a part of that change in whatever capacity I can. I am very passionate about the space and excited for the future of Cardano and Emurgo.
